The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear a contempt plea against the Rajasthan government for violating court directives in a mob lynching case in Alwar district last week.

 Two members of a family were killed and three others injured when the roof of their house collapsed here early on Monday, the police said.

Over 30 people have been killed in different incidents across the country over child lifting rumours over the past two months.

“My son Akbar Khan was a milkman, not a smuggler. He reared two cows with much love and even stayed hungry at times to buy fodder. He would have never thought of dying with such shame,” an inconsolable Suleiman Khan said at their village, Kolgaon in Ferozepur Jhirka tehsil.
