Coastal Muslim leaders convene in Bhatkal, call for protests against new Waqf law

Bhatkal: Leaders and representatives from Muslim organizations across Karnataka’s coastal districts and parts of Goa gathered at Rabita Hall in Bhatkal on Tuesday to express collective opposition to the Waqf (Amendment) Act passed by the central government. The meeting was organized by Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, a prominent community organization in Bhatkal, and brought together voices from Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and neighbouring regions.

 


IEEE awareness program held at Bearys Institute of Technology

Mangalore: An IEEE awareness session was held at Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Mangalore, to inform students and faculty about the benefits of IEEE membership and the role of IEEE societies within educational institutions. Sharif Murder Case: School bus driver arrested for murder

Manjeshwara, April 14: The Kasaragod police on Monday arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with the murder of an auto rickshaw driver whose body was found in an abandoned well in Kunjattur Padavu. The accused has been identified as Abhishek Shetty, a resident of Surathkal and a school bus driver at a private school in Mangaluru.
