Persistent torrential rainfall has led to widespread flooding across several areas of Ullal taluk, severely disrupting daily life and forcing multiple families to relocate.

Continuous heavy rain since last night has caused extensive damage across Dakshina Kannada district. Several areas in Mangaluru city and its rural outskirts experienced severe rainfall, leading to house and compound wall collapses, and the uprooting of trees.

Following days of relentless rain, a 10-year-old girl lost her life when a retaining wall collapsed onto her house near Belma village in Kanakare, close to Deralakatte.
