Udupi: By-elections for 10 Gram Panchayat seats on Nov 23

The Karnataka State Election Commission has announced that by-elections will be held on November 23 for 10 vacant seats across eight Gram Panchayats in Udupi district’s four taluks. The vacancies have arisen due to various reasons.

 


Kumbra: Humble dwelling of poor woman burns in fire, valuables lost

In a tragic incident, a ramshackle dwelling of a poor woman was partially burnt in a fire at Sarepuni Padedka near Kumbra of Olamogru village in Puttur. Many valuable items, including documents and cash were burnt in the incident that happened on Friday.
