An incident of serial theft was reported from the Public Welfare Department Udupi unit residential quarters near Mission Compound on Sunday night, with the thieves stealing cash and jewelry worth lakhs of rupees.

In a tragic incident, a three-year-old boy named Muhammad Souhan Habib, the son of Naushad, a farmer from Bedradka, drowned after accidentally falling into a water tank near his home on Sunday evening. The incident took place at Bedradka Kambar in Kasaragod district.
