Mangaluru: Senior Jamaat-e-Islami Hind leader K M Sharief passes away

Mangaluru: K M Sharief, a senior leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and a prominent figure in the religious, social, and educational landscape of the region, passed away on Tuesday evening at a private hospital in the city following a brief illness. He was 85.

 


Police identify 36 people from Dakshina Kannada for externment

The Dakshina Kannada district police, in coordination with the district administration, has identified 36 individuals for externment from the district limits following their repeated involvement in communal offences and activities that threaten public peace and order, official sources said.
