Mangalore: Prof. Dr. UT Iftikhar Ali, who has recently been appointed as the Karnataka State President of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare, was honored at a felicitation ceremony organized by the Bearys Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) on Friday at Ocean Pearl Hotel in Mangalore.

While many celebrated Independence Day in unique ways, AIPIF (The Message of Humanity Forum-Mangaluru), Blood Donors Mangaluru, and Jamiyathul Falah Mangaluru Taluk Unit marked the occasion by organizing a blood donation camp at Jamiyathul Falah Hall, Kankanady, Mangaluru. The event aimed to raise awareness about the spirit of sacrifice by encouraging blood donation.

Karwar: After more than two weeks, full-fledged search operations were resumed on Wednesday by the Navy, National Disaster Response Force along with other agencies to trace Kerala lorry driver Arjun and two others who were missing following a landslide at Shirur village in Uttara Kannada district, police said.
