Kasaragod: A 64-year-old woman, Chomu, a resident of Kurudupadavu near Paivalike in the district, who was bitten by a snake at home at around midnight on Wednesday, died in hospital.

Mangaluru: A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday at a construction site in Balmatta, Mangaluru, where one of the two labourers trapped under a landslide succumbed before rescue teams could reach him.

Two labourers were trapped under mud following a landslide during a building construction near Balmatta road. The landslide occurred while construction work was underway, burying the workers beneath the soil.
