St. Gerosa School incident: FIR filed against BJP MLAs for forcing students to chant Jai Shri Ram

Mangaluru: An FIR has been registered against two Karnataka BJP legislators, Vedavyas Kamath and Y Bharath Shetty, along with three others, for their alleged involvement in inciting and forcing students to chant religious slogans at St Gerosa English Higher Primary School in Mangaluru.

 


Diocese of Mangalore calls for fair investigation regarding St. Gerosa School Incident

The Diocese of Mangalore has voiced its concern and appealed for justice following the distressing events that unfolded at St. Gerosa English Higher Primary School on February 10, 2024. It said that the incident stemmed from baseless allegations against an English Teacher at the school.

A case has been filed at the Pandeshwar police station here against MLAs of Mangalore South and North Vidhan Sabha constituencies, two corporators, and several others regarding the incident at St Gerosa School in the city.
