Eight fishermen who were on board a deep-sea fishing boat that capsized off Malpe coast in Udupi district were rescued by fishermen from another boat, police said.

A 22-year-old youngster died on the spot and four others were grievously injured in a collision between their car and a truck that had broken down and was parked by the national highway in Koteshwara in Kundapur taluk late Wednesday night.
