21-year-old youth in Belthangady held for biting off friend's nose after fight during New Year party

Belthangady: In a shocking incident during a New Year's Eve party in Belthangady taluk, a 21-year-old man identified as Rakesh, hailing from Mudigere in Chikkamagaluru district, was arrested by Venoor Police for allegedly biting off his friend's nose during a drunken brawl.

 


Drugs worth Rs 1.71 crore seized in 2023 in Mangaluru

A total of 713 drug-related cases were registered in Mangaluru city police Commissionerate limits in 2023 and 948 persons were arrested in connection with these, police said on Wednesday.
