Mangaluru: Hours after announcing the regulation banning male pillion riders on two-wheelers after 6 pm, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner withdrew the order.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner on Thursday said the prohibitory orders and restrictions on movement after 6 pm was extended till August 8.

The driver of a private bus reportedly lost control of the vehicle on Wednesday morning resulting in the vehicle overturning in front of the Raghavendra Matt at Bannadka. Several of the passengers escaped the accident with minor injuries. 

Mangaluru: The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Dakshina Kannada till August 5 while forecasting heavy rainfall accompanied by winds during the period.

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. KV Rajendra on Tuesday extended the prohibitory orders in the district till August 5. Shops and other services in the district will now be closed after 6 pm till August 5, 2022.
