Mangaluru: Customs officers at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) have seized 3,124.54 gm of 24 carat purity gold valued at over Rs 1.59 crore from October 8 to 21.

Karwar: One of the Indian Coast Guard helicopters triggered panic among the residents of Karwar on Saturday when it made multiple unsuccessful attempts for an emergency landing here at the Maladevi Maidan.

Karwar: IAS Officer Mullai Muhilan, Deputy Commissioner of Uttara Kannada District was on Friday transferred with immediate effect. He will now take charge as the Commissioner of Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, State Youth Centre in Bengaluru.

Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Dr. KV Rajendra was on Friday transferred from his existing post through a state government order. The officer has been transferred as the Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru district.
