Sullia: Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Wednesday said the police have detained 10 people in connection with the murder of Praveen Nettaru, the BJP Yuva Morcha leader who was brutally murdered on Tuesday night.

Sullia: Police on Tuesday afternoon resorted to lathi charge to bring the situation under control when the activists of Hindutva groups, gheraoed BJP State President and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Minister Sunil Kumar, S Angara during the funeral procession of Praveen Nettaru.

On Wednesday, the D.K District Superintendent of Police, Rishikesh Sonawane informed that five special teams would be created to apprehend the accused in the Praveen Nattaru murder case. 

Sullia: Local police on Wednesday afternoon summoned three people for questioning in connection with the brutal murder of Praveen Nettaru that took place on Tuesday night.

Mangaluru: A 25-year-old man was on Tuesday arrested by Konaje Police for allegedly raping his 9-year-old stepdaughter on Monday night here under the jurisdiction of Konaje Police Station.

In the background of BJP Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettaru’s murder at Bellare on Tuesday night, several shops and businesses in Sulya, Puttur and Kadaba Taluks shut shop at the behest of Hindutva organizations. Amid this, stones were pelted on a government bus in Puttur’s Boluvaru on Wednesday morning. 

Hindutva organizations affiliated with the Sangh Parivar have reportedly decided to undertake a procession with the body of murdered BJP Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettaru, who was killed by miscreants at Bellare on Tuesday night.
