Concerning the case of using derogatory words against the Prophet, the Bellare police have arrested the accused Jagadish Kaivattadka, resident of Kaivattadka at Ivarnadu village.

In another incident of moral policing that occurred in the outskirts of the city at Surathkal, a gang of six accused miscreants assaulted two students on Monday night. The police who conducted an inquiry have arrested the six accused, it is learned.
