Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra on Sunday extended holidays of schools in the district till Monday July 11, owing to the continuous rainfall.

Due to the relentless heavy rains which have been falling for the past couple of days, the hill at the Chittur village in Vandse Hobali had reportedly collapsed in an apparent landslide in the Kundapur Taluk putting several homes at risk. 

Mangaluru: Female King Cobra at the Pillikula Dr. Shivram Karant Biological Park gave birth to 38 King Cobras on Friday, July 8.

Karwar: In the backdrop of continuous heavy rain in Coastal Karnataka over the last few days and the forecast of more rain for the week, Uttara Kannada Deputy Commission on Wednesday has extended the holiday to schools and colleges in the district till July 9, 2022.
