Car catches fire at Charmadi Ghat road: Passengers escape unharmed

A car that was enroute to Bengaluru from Mangaluru reportedly caught fire at the Charmadi Ghat road and completely burned down on the road during the late hours on July 11, Monday. The passengers in the car, who realized the imminent danger of vehicular combustion reportedly got out of the vehicle in the nick of time and escapes the incident unharmed.

Heavy rains: Schools in DK to remain closed till July 11, Colleges to resume classes from Monday

 Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra on Sunday extended holidays of schools in the district till Monday July 11, owing to the continuous rainfall.
