Mangaluru: In an incident that occurred in a car showroom in the outskirts of the city, the CCTV in the showroom captured the footage of a wild boar barging into the showroom and creating an environment of chaos at Padil.

Mangaluru: In an incident that occurred during the early hours of Thursday, a car reportedly ran over labourers who were sleeping on the footpath near the Mangaluru Railway station.

Mangaluru: Police have arrested four accused in connection with the murder of an 8-year-old girl on the premises of the Tiles Factory in Parari near Ulaibettu. In a press conference, the city police Commissioner N. Shashikumar said “The arrested have been accused of rape and murder of the minor girl”, he informed.

Puttur: A student of a local PU College here was on Tuesday assaulted by students of the same college after which the victim student has reportedly been admitted to Puttur government hospital.

 In an incident that occurred on Monday evening, a news reporter from a known TV Channel in the city was subjected to life-threatening physical assault. The police have arrested an accused involved in the assault, it is learned. 

Puttur: The RSS, BJP leader Kudkadi Narayana Rai, who had recently been arrested under the POCSO and Dalit Violence (Prevention of Atrocities) Act - in the rape of a minor Dalit girl from Badagannur village, which resulted in her pregnancy and subsequent birthing of a child- was granted conditional bail by the fifth additional District sessions court in Puttur.
