Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy Temple, on Saturday welcomed the arrest of the complainant in a case involving allegations of multiple murders, rapes and burials in the temple town, saying that the "truth is beginning to come out."

Activist in the Sowjanya movement Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, arrested under charge of making derogatory statements against BJP National General Secretary BL Santhosh, has been granted conditional bail by Udupi First Class Judicial Magistrate’s Court. 

The Udupi Additional Civil Judge and First Class Judicial Magistrate’s Court on Saturday ordered that Mahesh Shetty Timarodi be handed over to police custody for two hours for interrogation.

The witness-complainant who had alleged that several bodies were buried in Dharmasthala has been produced before the Belthangady court, which has remanded him to Special Investigation Team (SIT) custody for 10 days.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Saturday produced the complainant witness in the Dharmasthala mass burial case before the Belthangady court after taking him into custody.

The bail plea of Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, an activist associated with the Soujanya movement, came up for hearing today at the Court of the Additional Civil Judge and JMFC in Udupi. He was arrested in connection with allegedly making derogatory remarks against BJP National General Secretary B.L. Santosh.

Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara has confirmed the arrest of the anonymous complainant in the Dharmasthala case.

In connection with the Dharmasthala case involving allegations of multiple bodies being buried, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested the anonymous complainant.
