Udupi District reports first COVID-19 death; man who returned from Mumbai succumbs to virus

Udupi: In what is reportedly the first case of COVID-19 death in Udupi District, a man who arrived in the District from Mumbai, Maharashtra has succumbed to the virus at the KMC Hospital in Manipal. The person reportedly arrived in the District on May 13 and was sent to quarantine, after he complained of illness the patient was shifted to hospital for treatment.

 


Mangaluru: Reports of 40+ COVID-19 cases at AJ Hospital ‘fake and baseless’; Hospital clarifies

Mangaluru: Following reports on social media that over 40+ people including hospital staff at AJ Hospital in Mangaluru had tested positive for COVID-19, the hospital has issued a clarification that the reports are baseless and fake and has no truth in it.
