Following announcement of countrywide lockdown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid coronavirus scare, Mangaluru Commissioner Harsha took to Twitter to alleviate the confusion among the people following the lockdown announcement.

As many as six coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the district on Tuesday as well. Following which, the number of infected people in the district has increased to 44. Of the 16 positive cases that came up today, six belong to Kasargod.

Facilitating its customers to voluntarily adhere to social distancing guidelines issued by the Government of India, Karnataka Bank has announced to waive charges for NEFT, RTGS, IMPS and UPI transactions done through its digital channels and ATM transactions from Bank’s own ATMs free of cost to its customers until further notifications in this regard.

Mangaluru: Superintendent of District Wenlock Hospital Mangaluru on Tuesday added that the hospital had eight special wards to treat COVID-19 positive patients. The statement comes on the back of several social media posts against the management at the hospital.

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada MP and BJP Karnataka President Nalin Kumar Kateel on Tuesday morning visited the District Wenlock Hospital in the city after reports of negligence and other grievances at the hospital started doing rounds on local social media platforms.
