Bhatkal: The 18 fishermen from several parts of Uttar Kannada district, who have been arrested by the Iranian officials for last four months after they allegedly strayed into Iranian waters, have once again urged through a video to the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to get them released. 

Mangaluru: The district-level Revenue Adalat, which was to be chaired by the Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister UT Khader at Town Hall at 11 am today, has been cancelled following the death of BJP leader and Union Minister Ananth Kumar; informed the deputy commissioner.

Belthangady: The dead body of a young man was found in suspicious circumstances near Alake Road in Ujire village in Belthangady taluk on Sunday morning.

A student accidentally fell down from a moving school bus and died on Ishwaramangala- Patte road near Patladka in the taluk on Saturday.
