Mangaluru: Strike has little effect in hospitals

Private Doctors have called for a nationwide strike to protest against the Central Government’s National Medical Commission Bill. Even though, the prominent hospitals in Mangaluru, including Father Muller, AJ, KMC, have thrown open their OPDs and doctors are treating patients.


‘Aradhane of Shiroor seer after police handover Moola Mutt’

Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Sode Mutt, the dwandwa mutt of Shiroor Mutt, said that Aradhana of Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt who died on July 19, at Moola Mutt near Hiriyadka, would be conducted only after the police vacated the mutt.
