The Mangaluru West Zone IGP Arun Chakravarthy, who arrived at Udupi today, visited the Shiroor Mutt and began the investigation into the mysterious death of Shiroor Swamiji.

Mangaluru: The Venur police have arrested Ramya Shetty in connection with the mysterious death of Shri Lakshmivara Theertha of Shiroor Mutt.

In a fit of anger, a man killed his wife with lethal weapons near Heruru hanging bridge on Monday evening. The victim is identified as Girija Poojary (52). The accused Raju Poojary is absconding.
