Special Investigating Team (SIT), investigating into the Gauri murder case, disclosed on Wednesday that names of noted writers and others like Garish Karnad and others were in the hit-list of suspected killers.
Based on a statement of the complainant, the Karnataka High Court on Wednesday dismissed an FIR filed against senior journalist Agni Sridhar at Yelahanka police station. The FIR was filed against Sridhar that he has threatened the complainant with dire consequences.

One of the sketches of suspected killers of Gauri Lankesh, released by the SIT, has a close resemblance with Parshuram Waghmore, arrested in the case, it is said.
It was came to light in the SIT interrogation that Parshuram Wagmore, one of the main accused in the Gauri Lankesh murder case, got the training in country-made pistol in Vijayapura.
“The differences cropped up during the formation of the coalition government cabinet are cleared. It is true that I have expressed my resentment for missing the minister post. But the allegation that I have strongly rebuked former chief minister Siddaramaiah is completely false”, said former minister HM Revanna.
