Davangere: ACB officials today conducted a raid on the house of an FDA Officer of Drinking Water and Sanitation department and on the home of DCC Bank Assistant Manager.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi who announced Rs 500 crore to Kerala, should give at least Rs 100 crore in the first phase to Kodagu district to take up relief works.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy said that the natural disaster has literally devastated the Kodagu district where 12 persons were died and 845 houses were completely damaged in the floods and landslides.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar said that the state government has decided to construct prefabricated houses for those who lost their houses in the flood, landsliding and rains in Kodagu district.

Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar on Monday visited the relief camps here and consoled the distressed people and promise of help.

Though the intensity of the rain is subsidized in the district, Madikeri taluk has received rainfall even on Monday. People heaved a sigh of relief as its raining moderately. 

A two-wheeler rider died on the spot when his scooter was hit by a lorry from the rear near Unakal tank here on Monday.
