As the Tunga river is overflowing on the SK Border and Nemmar road which connects Mangaluru and Chikmagaluru, the traffic movement on the road was suspended on Thursday.

Special Investigating Team (SIT), investigating into the Gauri murder case, disclosed on Wednesday that names of noted writers and others like Garish Karnad and others were in the hit-list of suspected killers.

Based on a statement of the complainant, the Karnataka High Court on Wednesday dismissed an FIR filed against senior journalist Agni Sridhar at Yelahanka police station. The FIR was filed against Sridhar that he has threatened the complainant with dire consequences.  

One of the sketches of suspected killers of Gauri Lankesh, released by the SIT, has a close resemblance with Parshuram Waghmore, arrested in the case, it is said.
