Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who also holds the finance portfolio, presented the Karnataka state budget for 2025-26 on Friday, announcing several initiatives aimed at the welfare and development of minority communities. The budget allocates funds for education, employment, infrastructure, and social welfare programs targeting various minority groups across the state.

 Last minute changes were made to the schedule of the 16th Karnataka budget on Friday, March 7 owing to Rahukala (an inauspicious period), reported Prajavani.

 Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah taking to his official ‘X,’ account on Friday stated, “Today, I am ready to present the 16th budget of my political career. I am grateful to all the people of Karnataka for giving me the opportunity to present the budget of this state sixteen times.”
