A 27-year-old Dalit man, Shailendra, has accused the priest of the Lodheshwar Mahadev temple in Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh, of preventing him from offering prayers, assaulting him, and using casteist slurs on Friday, July 11, 2025. Shailendra is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
