Childhood is children's right

Just about a few years ago, it wasn't a practice to send children younger than 7 years to school. They could spend all that time with their parents and other family members who lived with them. That's the reason why we believe home is the first school of a child. That's where the seeds of values and imagination grow

Kartarpur corridor: Fresh step in reconciliation between nations

Pakistan PM Imran Khan has said he is ready to engage in talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is the most welcome step towards better relationships between both nations. Speaking to Indian reporters who had attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor project, Imran Khan has said encouraging terrorism activities would be detrimental for the future of Pakistan, which right now is working to establish peace.

Being a brahmin is mandatory for Rahul to be PM?

Despite having all deserving qualities to be the PM of this country through the massive mandate UPA had garnered, Sonia Gandhi had to step back owing to the conspiracy of Sangh Parivar and other opposition parties.

Ayushman Bharat needs to live long

Farmers are not the only people who commit suicide in our country. If one family member is diagnosed with cancer, the whole family may be forced to kill itself owing to financial burden that the treatment cost of the disease brings. Owing to the lobby of private hospitals, government hospitals aren't offering any great promising service to patients of this disease.

Dharma Sansad or Supreme Court?

With elections fast approaching, many parties have remembered Sri Rama out of the blue. Lakhs of people do not have a roof over their heads. Scores of workers and farmers have come to streets with demonetization. Economy is in doldrums with unemployment shooting up.  Those who occupied the power corridors with the assurance of Acche Din, gave us the most horrendous days ever. This time around, Modi and his party know the ‘development mantra’ they used last time to win elections, may not work again.

A Prime Minister needs better choice of words

The language our PM and some Congress politicians are using during election rallies in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh does not befit the office each one of them holds. Some irresponsible Cong MLAs asked sarcastically about the father of PM Modi. This is highly condemnable. But the person who set the use of such language into motion is PM himself. The run up to 2014 elections he had referred to Sonia Gandhi as Jersey cow and Rahul Gandhi as the hybrid calf. Actually none of the Congress leaders have brought down the level of discourse to as worse as Modi did.

48 hours – three tragedies

In just a matter of 48 hours, three tragedies struck the state of Karnataka. Even before the state could come to terms with 30 people meeting their watery grave in Mandya after a bus fell into the canal on Saturday morning, the ‘Man of Mandya’ actor-turned politician Ambarish breathed his last on the very night. And even before his final rites are done, former union minister and senior Congress leader Jaffer Sharief has died.

Nation in the hands of criminals

Prosecution witness in Sohrabuddin encounter case Azam Khan’s statement before the CBI court had revealed the role of police department in Haren Pandya murder case. Khan had said former IPS officer Vanzara had allegedly ordered the killing of Pandya. And fearing more names tumbling out in this context, Sohrabuddin and his wife were murdered. Pandya may have been killed to avoid the truth of Gujarat govt’s role in Gujarat massacre coming out in the open or before the media. As if to concur with that, a few strong evidences have also been found.

Who’s eligible to be included in voters’ list?

Success of an electoral process such as an election is dependent on full participation of citizens. A candidate wins or loses based on the number of votes polled for him.

When will the vacancies in judiciary be filled?

Legislature, executive and judiciary are three significant pillars of constitution. For democracy to work well, there has to be good coordination between all the three pillars.
