Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District on Sunday reported eight more COVID-19 deaths which have taken the total number of fatalities due to the deadly virus to 123. With Sunday’s figures, the district has reported 24 deaths in the last three days.
Udupi: Two more patients who were being treated at a private hospital here have succumbed to the deadly COVID-19 on Sunday. With this, the total number of fatalities due to the virus in the district has gone up to 17.

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday reported eight COVID-19 related deaths in the district which has now taken the total number of fatalities due to the virus to 115. The district also reported 218 fresh cases of the virus on Saturday.
Subramanya: Two people have been arrested for allegedly poisoning their own father’s food. The incident took place under Subramanya Police Station limits.
Udupi: The district on Saturday reported another COVID-19 related death as a 75-year-old man passed away at the KMC Hospital in the city on late Friday night.
Kasargod: A 75-year-old woman on Saturday died due to Coronavirus at the Kannoru Government Medical College Hospital here. This has taken the total number of fatalities due to the deadly virus to four in the district.
Kasargod: District Administration has resorted to imposing of prohibitory orders under section 144, to cap the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the district.
Mangaluru: The one-week-long lockdown in Dakshina Kannada District ended on Wednesday with the District Administration, following instruction from CM Yediyurappa, did not extend the lockdown in the district.
