Puttur: A lecturer in Punchappady village in Puttur taluk has built a home on a tree to maintain social distancing. He has built a hut on a tree near his home and has lived there for the past 8 days.


Dakshina Kannada among 170 COVID-19 hotspot Districts identfied by union health ministry

New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry has declared 170 districts in 25 states as COVID-19 hotspots and 207 districts in 27 states as non-hotspots, officials said on Wednesday, reiterating that there has been no community transmission of the disease in the country so far.
