Udupi, May 17: A 44-year-old man from Bannanje in Udupi district died of heart attack on Saturday at the district hospital.

Number of COVID-19 cases in Dakshina Kannada rises to 52 with two new cases

 Two more corona positive cases have been confirmed in the Dakshina Kannada on Sunday. With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the district has reached 52. Of these 46 patients were from Dakshina Kannada, four from Kasargod and one each from Karkala and Bhatkal.

Udupi District reports first COVID-19 death; man who returned from Mumbai succumbs to virus

Udupi: In what is reportedly the first case of COVID-19 death in Udupi District, a man who arrived in the District from Mumbai, Maharashtra has succumbed to the virus at the KMC Hospital in Manipal. The person reportedly arrived in the District on May 13 and was sent to quarantine, after he complained of illness the patient was shifted to hospital for treatment.
