Mangaluru: The South Western Railway on Saturday announced the cancellation of several trains till August 23 due to landslides in the Hassan-Mangalore section of Mysuru Division.

In an unfortunate incident reported from Valachil, a man fell into a water logged crater and died on Saturday morning here. The deceased has been identified as Abdur Razak (34), a resident of Valachil who was working as an ‘Muazeen’ at Valachil Juma Masjid.
