Bantwal: In a road accident reported from near Lower Thumbay, the driver of a car was killed on the spot as the vehicle rammed into the road divider and toppled on the road.

Krishna J. Rao, son of senior BJP leader P.G. Jagannivasa Rao, who had been absconding after a complaint was filed against him for engaging in sexual relations with a fellow student under the false promise of marriage and later refusing to marry her, has been arrested by police near Mysuru.
