Three north Indians who were trapped on a hill when the hill sunk between Sampaje and Madikeri on Friday, were rescued by rescue teams on Sunday.

As the rain picked up in Chikmagaluru and Malnad region with gusty wind, landslides occurred in four places on national highway 66 due to which vehicular movement between Kalasa Mangaluru was affected.
