Acting on a tip off that explosives are being transported illegally in a two-wheeler, police arrested an accused and recovered the materials worth lakhs at Keddalike in Punjalkatte police station limits on Monday.

A bus agent was attacked with machetes by bike borne unidentified assailants in Kaikamba-Gurukambala near Suralpady on Monday night around 8pm.
