Bantwal: The voting process for Municipal elections began on Friday morning. Voting is being held in the 32 polling stations of 27 wards. BJP, Congress and SDPI parties are in the fray.

Mangaluru: Elections began for Ullal and Puttur City Municipal Corporations, Bantwal Town Municipal Corporation and Udupi distrcit’s four local bodies today. Of the 89 wards, 1,17,979 voters are required to elect 89 Representatives, with a total of 250 candidates in the arena.

A stranger behaved indecently before four girls when they were walking on the Mangaluru university campus on Wednesday evening. Condemning this sudden development, the students resorted to protest boycotting the classes in front of the Administrative Block of the university and demanded his immediate arrest.
