Karnataka Polls: BJP bags seven seats, congress restricted to just one in Coastal belt

What it can be called as the mirror effect of 2013 poll results in coastal Karnataka, BJP bagged seven seats out of eight restricting congress to just one seat. While in 2013 congress had emerged victorious in seven assembly seats BJP was limited to just one.

Raising doubts over the reliability of EVMs, Seven Congress candidates led by Ramanatha Rai visited returning officer and filed an objection against the voting machines; when only one candidate out of eight candidates from the party emerged victorious in Dakshina Kannada in the state assembly elections.
