US Ex-President George Bush's cardiologist killed

A cardiologist who treated former US President George H.W. Bush, has been killed in a bicycle-to-bicycle drive-by shooting near Texas Medical Center in Houston, authorities said.

Mark Hausknecht, 65, was killed on Friday around 9 a.m. It could have been either a random or a targeted incident, the Houston Police Department said as a probe got underway.


Toddler dies in accidental shooting in US

A two-year-old girl has died after being accidentally shot by her four-year-old cousin who got hold of a gun at a home in the US state of California, said police.

8 dead in tourist boat capsize in US

At least eight persons have died and over 10 injured in a tourist boat accident in the US state of Missouri, said an official.

According to Southern Stone County Fire Protection spokesman Eric Nielsen, the incident occurred on Thursday on the Table Rock Lake near Branson, CNN reported. There were more than 20 people onboard when it capsized, Nielsen said.
