Indian job-seekers stranded in UAE eagerly wait to return home as money runs out

Several Indian job-seekers stranded in the UAE due to travel restrictions amid the coronavirus outbreak are running out of money and desperately want to return home, according to a media report.

 Continued lock down across the country and suspension of all international flights to prevent spread of COVID – 19, has sparked problems and inconveniences to the lives of Indian Expatriates irrespective of labors and entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia. Different stories of expatriate ordeals have surfaced in the media from the kingdom. Here are some stories we could hear.

KSA: ‘Expertise’ seeks PM Modi’s permission to fly back India expats on chartered flights

Saudi Arabia based leading company, Expertise Contracting Co. which mainly has workforce that belongs to Karnataka has sought permission from PM Narendra Modi to land chartered flights at Bengaluru/Mangaluru International Airports. The company said it will carry Indian expatriates working for the company who are stranded in Saudi Arabia on chartered flights. It added that at least 500 of its workmen are stranded in the Kingdom due to the lockdown and suspension of flights between the two countries amidst growing number of cases of Corona Virus.
