The boon of death

Temples, places of worship and the beliefs around it are created by man for the sanctity of his life. Many believers live on the faith that a God that protects then exists somewhere in some form. Faith in God helps millions of people get through their lives.

Rafale scandal: Who is Modi loyal to?

Modi and his men seem to think that it is a huge success and a ‘clean chit’ given to them that an investigation of an alleged scam has been evaded at the outset. Supreme Court has dismissed the petition to probe into Rafale scam under the supervision of court.

RBI: Frying pan to fire

A tea seller can become the Prime Minister of the country. That would be the victory of democracy. At the same time, if a PM can choose a television serial actor to head the most significant portfolio of HRD ministry and be given the responsibility of looking after all universities; or appoint a person with graduation in history to be the governor of RBI, it would be a loss of the power democracy gives us.

Congress included, opposition parties need to unite

The results of five state assembly elections has given a new lease of hope to opposition parties, simultaneously descending a pall of gloom on BJP over its dismal performance. Had these states been won by BJP, the hope of Operation Lotus would have received some boost in Karnataka too.

Five states packed quite a punch!

The results of five states where the election was held in India is somewhat promising. This is the first massive blow to the politics that was being played using lies, manipulation, and illusions through media. This is the first needle that burst the Modi bubble.

Aadhaar: Gas chamber that kills the hungry

The death of poor tribal Kaleshwara Soren has proved the fact to the nation that Supreme Court verdict on Aadhaar can never help the impoverished. Aadhaar is controlling the life of the poor of this country. Forget the other facilities, even to avail a kilo of rice, if it is mandatory to have Aadhaar, it is the heights of cruelty that prevails in a democratic nation. In some ways, this is the beginning of adivasi mass carnage.

Uttar Pradesh government tending to cannibals

The case of police office being lynched to death by a blood hungry Sangh Parivar mob in Bulandshahr of Uttar Pradesh is taking different turns now. Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath declared it an 'accident’ while the senior Police Officer had said something more vicious was working behind this murder.

Don't you hear the lakes cry?

National Green Tribunal has taken the state government to task over ignoring lakes such as Bellandur and Agata, and penalised the state and BBMP to the tune of Rs 75 crore. Terribly embarrassed by this, the state government has tried to defend itself by saying NGT has no jurisdiction to penalise the state government and that the tribunal needs to stay within its limits.

Uttar Pradesh has returned to pre historic era

Looks like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his close confidante and CM of UP Adityanath have been partially successful in taking the country back to the bygone glory. The incident of a police officer being lynched to death by unruly mob has proved this beyond any doubt to the whole world. So far, the mobs would only target the commoners and the police department would watch such incidents rather callously. Now these barbarians from stone age have started with the top officers in police department. Now if the police officers are not safe from them, how would they provide any security to commoners?

Supreme Court shouldn't fail people's trust

Supreme Court is the lone pillar that can uphold the democracy under all circumstances because it can always insist on measures that can rectify to set the country on the track of democracy when legislative or executive goes on a different track.
