Udupi: The Udupi City Municipality officials raided the APMC Market at Adi Udupi on Monday, after receiving complaints of the banned Chinese garlic being sold at the markets, and seized 12 tonnes of garlic whose quality was suspected by the officers.

In a tragic incident, a three-year-old boy named Muhammad Souhan Habib, the son of Naushad, a farmer from Bedradka, drowned after accidentally falling into a water tank near his home on Sunday evening. The incident took place at Bedradka Kambar in Kasaragod district.
