Udupi Lokayukta cops catch red-handed, arrest Revenue Dept staff member for taking bribe 

The Lokayukta Police team in Udupi conducted a surprise visit to the Ajekar Taluk Office on Thursday. During this operation, they arrested Nizamuddin, a staff member of the Revenue Department, in the act of accepting a bribe. The bribe was connected to a request for a genealogy map of a family.


Mangaluru: Three sons detained for allegedly provoking mother to commit suicide

Three men were detained by police on Friday, on charges of provoking their 44-year-old mother, Sumithra, to allegedly commit suicide by hanging herself at home here. The incident occurred on Thursday night in the Korambettu Colony of Lingappayya Forest Region, KS Rao Nagar.
