Mangaluru: Several vehicles were involved in a serial accident near Bavatagudde in the city on Friday evening, according to the city traffic police.

 Mangaluru: Kadri police have arrested three youths on charges of illegally entering the premises of Sri Manjunatheshwar temple in Kadri, located in the Indian city of Mangaluru.

A tragic incident occurred in Udupi district on Wednesday when a tree fell on a moving rickshaw, resulting in the death of a couple near Mazur Masjid near Kapu.

A youngster, who was aged 20 years and faced charges of abetting the death of a model, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself outside his aunt’s house in Mundoli of Kutharu. The deceased youth has been identified as Yathiraj Gatti, who was found dead in front of his aunt house, situated adjacent to his house in Mundoli.

Delay in completion of the work of booth-level officers at a polling booth in Charmady late Wednesday night gave rise to tension in the area, resulting in the police lathi charging to disperse the crowd, some of whom suspected the reasons for the officers’ delay.
