No need for lockdown in Udupi District: DC Jagadeesh tells CM Yediyurappa

Udupi: District Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh on Monday reportedly informed CM Yediyurappa that there was no need for a lockdown in his district. Jagadeesh briefed the CM on COVID-19 situation in Udupi District over a video conferencing call and asserted that there was no need for a lockdown.

Byndoor: Udupi District on Monday reported its fourth COVID-19 related death as a 70-year-old patient who was being treated at TMA Pai Hospital passed away on Monday here. The patient had reportedly tested positive for the virus 15 days ago.

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District In-Charge Minister, Kota Srinivas Poojary, on Monday confirmed that the District Administration will impose lockdown in the district for one week starting Thursday July 16.
