Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada and Udupi District Qazis on Friday evening confirmed that both the Districts will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday as the crescent moon was not sighted on Friday evening. This will mean both the Districts will now observe a full 30-day holy month of Ramadhan.

Bhatkal: 46 people who had arrived from Bengaluru towards Bhatkal on May 6, were intercepted by the Uttara Kannada District Administration at Murdeshwar about 13km away from their destination Bhatkal.
