Mangaluru: A murder accused who had been absconding for nearly three years after his bail was cancelled by the Supreme Court was arrested near Mangaluru, police said on Tuesday.

The district authorities reportedly said that the newly constructed dams in Dakshina Kannada are structurally sound and currently pose no safety risks.

Beltangady: In a tragic incident, a man lost his life after accidentally coming in contact with a high-tension power line while spraying pesticide in an areca plantation. The incident occurred in Arasinamakki, Enjira area of Beltangady taluk.
