A grand procession depicting the culture and tradition of the land was taken out prior to the inauguration of the 15th edition of literary and cultural extravaganza ‘Alva’s Nudisiri’ organized by Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri in Sundari Ananda Alva campus in Moodbidre.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and former prime minister and JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda arrived in Mangaluru on Friday evening. They landed at the Mangaluru airport at 5.30 pm.

Kundapur: A cheetah fell into a trap laid by the Forest Department near the house of one Dayanand Hegde in Kalawar based on a complaint filed by the locals. The forest department has succeeded in capturing two leopards within a week from the same place.

Moodbidre: The three-day literary and cultural extravaganza ‘Alva’s Nudisiri’ was inaugurated in a grand manner at St. Shishunal Sharif Hall in Sundari Ananda Alva campus in Moodbidre. This is the 15th edition of the grand festival, organised by Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri.

Harsha S. Bhat, a CNRS (The French National Centre for Scientific Research) researcher at the Ecole Normale Superieure Laboratory of Geology, has been chosen for the prestigious Michel Gouilloud Schlumberger prize for 2018.
