Five persons died and 12 others including children sustained severe injuries when a lorry collided the jeep in which they were travelling at Nayabazar near Uppala on National Highway 66 in the taluk on Monday. All the 12 injured were admitted to a private hospital and on Tuesday, a child succumbed to the injuries.
