The International Students' Meet was held on Saturday, 1st September, 2018 at BIT. With the objective of creating unity even after lots of cultural, social, physical, linguistic, religious, political, ideological and psychological differences. Students from twenty countries participated in the event.

The Congress party has faced set back in Ullal municipal elections. But it will not make any alliance with SDPI for power, stated district in-charge Minister UT Khader.
