Josna Quadars, wife of Ashwin Mathias of Kutyar Agardande, who was working as a nurse in a government hospital at Saudi Arabia, died at the women’s hostel where she was residing mysteriously on July 19. She was 29.

A two-year-old child fell into an open toilet pit and died at Tumbe in the taluk on Friday.  The child is identified as Ayesha, daughter of Ahmed Bava of Tumbe Valavoor.

Cherkalam Abdullah, who was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru for the last few days, was brought to the home late yesterday night as per doctors’ opinion. He breathed his last at his residence at 8:20 am today.
